Marriage Bond

Mr. George Erwin and James Kerr of the County of Rowan do bind ourselves to Saml. Ashe in the sum of five hundred pounds Lawful money of North Carolina but to be Void on condition that there appears hereafter no cause to Obstruct a marriage to be had & Celebrated between George Erwin & Elizabeth Lyall by Virtue of a license bearing equal date with these presents.
