Per the records of Henry, the son of Katherine and Frank . . . Frank was called to serve in the Serbian army serving until 1908. While attending an army dance with a soldier friend in Belgrade, he met 18-year-old Katherine Keller/Pinczés who was employed at the time as a Pastry Chef at the Grand Hotel in Belgrade. They fell in love and were married. After leaving the service, the couple lived with Frank's parents. Frank was recalled to service in 1913 as a result of the unrest in the Balkans at the time. Home on furlough in September, 1913, he went AWOL to Holland then emigrated to the USA. He arrived at Ellis Island in December, 1913. From there he proceeded to Rochester, New York to live with the Krehlings who were friends of Katherine's from Hungary. References
