Eleazer Kendall m. (1) abt. 1712 Hannah Rowe "called of Lexington".
[Perhaps the author is referring to Source:Hudson, Charles. History of the Town of Lexington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, from Its First Settlement to 1868, Vol. 2, p. 337, which says Eleazer Kendall "married first HANNAH ROWE of Lexington" (and which may have itself quoted Source:Barry, William. History of Framingham, Massachusetts, p. 309). Quoting further from Hudson, Vol. 2, p. 448-9n, about the surname Munroe: "The name should be spelled Munro; but it is found a s Munroe, Monroe, Monro, Munrow, Munroo, Rowe and Roe." On p. 449, note that Hudson shows the death date of 14 Apr 1716 for both the wife and the daughter of John Munroe, both named Hannah. The actual death record in Source:Lexington, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. Record of Births, Marriages, and Deaths to January 1, 1898, p. 189, does not specify the relationship to John. But Source:Brown, Francis H. Lexington Epitaphs : A Copy of Epitaphs in the Old Burying-Grounds of Lexington, Massachusetts, p. 85, makes it clear it was the wife. To the extent that Hudson's coverage of the Munroe family is complete (doubtful), the daughter Hannah Munroe would appear to be the only candidate to be the wife of Eleazer Kendall.]
