Marriage and Children

Rev. Ebenezer Morse and Persis Bush were married November 27, 1745. Rev. Morse provides the date October 23, 1745. The Morse Gen. provides two dates October 3, 1744 and November 21, 1745, perhaps the first are the Intentions. The birth of 11 children have been recorded in the Shrewsbury Vital Records.
Crane states that he married (second) Rebecca Symmes, widow of Thomas Symmes. In the "Records of the North Parish of Shrewsbury" (NEHGR 77:17) it states Intentions were published on January 1, 1790 at Shrewsbury of Rev. Ebenezer Morse of Boylston and Mrs. Rebeckah Symms, "but the marriage did not take place."S1
