(possibly Fairfax or Prince Wm) 16 May 1758 - John & Daniel Loftlin of Truro Parish, Fairfax Co. VA presented to the Grand Jury for not attending "divine service" for 2 months. Neither appeared and the court ordered they pay the church wardens of Truro Parish 5 (or 50) pounds of tobacco for use of parish & costs. [ Fairfax Co. Court Orders] 19 Sep 1758 Daniel Loftin paid Samuel Jenkins for 7 days attendance in court as witness & one round trip Loudoun Co. (27 miles) paid Franklin Perry for 1 day witness and one round trip from Loudoun Co. (30 miles) [ Fairfax Co. Court Orders]
July 1760 John Loftlin deft. vs. exors of Benjamin Grayson (gent.) deceased [ Fairfax Co. Court Orders] 1773, 1774, 1775, 1776, 1777, 1778, 1780, 1781, 1782 - Daniel appears on Loudoun Co. Tax lists 9 Apr 1782 Loudoun Co. court orders show that Daniel Loflin is to be reimbursed 40 56 days hire of a wagon & driver to transport grain - the same day James and Edward Mercer are recorded for reimbursemen to fbeef and pasturage of cattle as well as Samuel Selden "assignee of John Francis Mercer" [found at the Loudoun Co. Virginia in the American Revolution 1774-1783 site] 1783, 1785, 1787 Daniel is on tax list of Loudoun Co. |
