Family:Daniel Ferree and Anna Leininger (1)

Comment - CAH, III, 24 February 2007 - There are records that establish the baptism of the children Andrew & John in Germany. It is recorded that Daniel Ferree and Anna Maria Leininger traveled to America with two children, arriving in 1709. Thus, the remaining children were born in America. It is possible that there are unrecorded pregnancies. However, I am assuming the next two known children were born at New Paltz, New York. Based on a letter written by Ruth Jarvis, a dedicated Ferree researcher, it appears the 5th child was born at Esopus (now Kingston), New York. and the remaining two children were born in what was still Chester County (soon to become Lancaster County). Since the Ferrees did not come to the Strasburg area until 1712, I have chosen approximate birth dates that fit with these assumptions.
