Remick Genealogy : Compiled from the Manuscript of Lieutenant Oliver Philbrick Remick for the Maine Historical Society suggests Sarah was the widow of Dr. David Doane who d. 1748, his will naming his second wife Sarah. "The Remick Genealogy" in NEHGR, p. 47:475, says his second wife was Sarah Freeman, but it was the son Christian, not the father, who married Sarah Freeman in 1752 (according to intentions published in MD, p. 28:76 the husband of "sarah freeman of harwich" was "christan remick Jr"). Apparently in Source:Remick, Oliver P. Genealogy of the Remick Family, the author of the NEHGR article adjusted his theory, and now named Sarah, d/o Nathaniel Myrick (who used to be shown as wife of the son in his article) to be the second wife of the father. Holman says there is no evidence to support this.
