  1. Christina McGuire Gatliff and her four children were captured by the British and Indians at Martin's Station on the Kentucky frontier in June 1780. They were taken to Canada and held until late 1782. Her youngest child, an infant, [John?] died on the way to Canada. She and her three children rejoined her husband near Staunton, Virginia, about May 1783.
