Wilhelmina was nicknamed Minnie, but went by Wilma. Carl and Wilma were married when he was 27 and Wilma 26. They resided at 436 North Seventh Street, Grand Haven, Michigan upstairs of the home owned by Charles and Nellie (van der Wagen) Schroeder. He and Charles Schroeder owned the Schroeder-Lindgren Auto Company at 100 North Seventh Street during the mid- and late 1920s. They carried Pontiac automobiles. Born in 1893, Carl served during WWI in Company L of the 126th Infantry. In 1930 Wilma and Carl Lindgren lived on Washington street in Grand Haven, Michigan. In 1930 Carl was in business with Charles Schroeder and Jake van der Wagen in the ice business on Spring Lake--the Natural Ice Company. Carl died in 1935. Charles and Nellie originally bought the 7th Street home from Nellie and Wilma’s sister, Christine, sometime between 1916 and 1922 after Christine’s first husband, Joseph van der Meiden, died. Christine moved when she married William Schroeder.
