- Confirmation of parents required. The Lines/Line/Lyn/Lein/Leyn family was a pioneering family in Bergen County, New Jersey with later presence in Essex and Passaic counties. The family has a genealogy complicated by its German origins within a Dutch church in an English colony, and is extensive, making it especially difficult to distinguish among the multitude of Conrads. Anthony and Abraham are also recurring family names. Benjamin is also a common contemporary name used in this area.
