Rev. Calvin Duncan was my grandmother's father.He was a published author, although his book about the reconstruction era has only recently come back into print. It's considered a vital source historic document, because it focuses on the re-establishment of an institution of higher learning rather than politics.

   Calvin Duncan's death certificate lists Alexander Rankin Duncan as his father. The actual certificate is at my dad's house with a bunch of other documents about my grandma's family. The information is also online in a few places.

2.   Rev. Calvin Duncan is one of the descendents on file as having asked for an authentication letter for John Duncan's Revolutionary War Pension.
