Richardson Abiel, m., in Woburn, Sarah Smith, Jan. 14, 1742.
The long gap between marriage and the first birth is not explained, nor even commented on, in NEHGR, p. 100:129. It shows the same two children, and naming the first daughter Sarah, and second daughter after Abiel's mother, would be consistent with first children. On p. 128, the article mentions that Abiel Richardson's wife, Sarah, was admitted to full communion in Cambridge 28 Sep 1746, which even if one assumes the marriage date was misread, still represents close to a four year gap for a marriage in Jan 1746 until a child born in Nov 1749.
