Walterus Brouwers [23 August 2012]

Hello Wim, I saw your message on the NLHelpdesk page. Since you are not yet "Watching" Walterus' page, I wanted to let you know that I added some notes for discussion at Person talk:Walterus Brouwers (1). Regards, --Jennifer (JBS66) 07:39, 23 August 2012 (EDT)

[19 December 2012]

Hello Wim, I've searched a few different avenues, but I cannot find Walter's death date, nor his marriage date to Nina. I did add a page for Bernardus Henricus. If you know his approximate death date, that would be helpful.

WeRelate has a new Brick Walls page. I was thinking of adding Walter to that page for other user's help. Considering the sensitive nature of Walter's situation, I wanted to ask you first before I added his page to the Brick Wall list. --Jennifer (JBS66) 13:42, 19 December 2012 (EST)

Walterus' death information [27 December 2012]

I am nearly certain that I have found Walterus' death information. I found a resource for death indexes for 1957-1962 for the State of New York. Here is what I found:

State file number: 72370
First name: Walter
Last name: Browers
Age: 76 yrs
Gender: M
Date of death: 11/3/1957 (3 Nov 1957)
Residence code: 4501 (Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County)

I am going to email the City Clerk of Saratoga Springs to find out how a copy of his death certificate can be obtained. I will let you know their response. --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:25, 20 December 2012 (EST)

Really fantastic you found the death information of grandpa Walterus. I'm also happy for the werelate page of my uncle Bernardus Henricus Brouwers. Soon I send you news and a picture of him. If possible I had a new Question: The eldest brother of Walterus immigrate to the U.S.via Ellis Island in 1910 from where he went to Butler Otter Tail Minnesota. His name is Cornelis Petrus Maria Brouwers He was born 28-2-1868. Thanks for all the help you can give! Friendly regards Wim Brouwers--Wimbrouwers 04:02, 27 December 2012 (EST)

I have a little more information about your grandfather. According to this site, Walter died at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany, New York (http://www.albany.va.gov). He is buried in St. Peter's Cemetery in Saratoga Springs, New York. I sent an email to the administrator at St. Peters asking for more information, but I've not received a response yet. If he did die in Albany, information on obtaining a death certificate can be found here.

Regarding his brother Cornelis, I added the information I could find about his family to WeRelate Family:Cornelis Brouwers and Maria van Belle (1). Cornelis, his wife, and 5 children all came to the U.S. You are lucky - Cornelis also applied for a passport, so I was able to add a photo to his page! --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:29, 27 December 2012 (EST)
