werelatereed.ged Ready for Review [29 April 2009]

Welcome to WeRelate! WeRelate is different from most family tree websites. By contributing to WeRelate you are helping to create Pando for genealogy, a free, unified family tree that combines the best information from all contributors.

Now that you have uploaded your GEDCOM, your next step is to preview what your pages will look like and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. When you have finished your review, your GEDCOM will be imported. Click here to review your GEDCOM.

Dates , Exact Locations, First Names, Spouses [30 April 2009]

Hello TiffanyDunn,

You do not need to change anything. This is just a suggestion.

You might want to consider adding more detailed information.

Such as dates, more exact locations, first names, and spouses names in your message on your User Page.

That way people would have a better idea if they are researching the same ancestors.

Another option is to add a link to your ancestors WeRelate Pages in your message.

Possible additional matches for your gedcom? [5 May 2009]

Hi,

I've been reviewing your gedcom. It looks like John Brooke and Elizabeth Whetman in your gedcom likely matches Family:John Brooke and Elizabeth Whetman (1). Their child Joanne in your GEDCOM appears to be the same as Person:Joan Brooke (17). Both were married to a Robert Foote (see Family:Robert Foote and Joan Brooke (5) and had a child named Nathaniel (born 1592, died 1644).

Also, your GEDCOM family for Simon Couch and Mary Andrews seems to match Family:Simon Couch and Mary Andrews (1). You matched their child Simon with Person:Simon Couch (3), who is listed as a child of that family (although their Simon doesn't appear on the same row as your child Simon -- that's a bug and I'll have to look into why that happened). Also, several other children have the same names.

Also, your GEDCOM family for William Myles and Joan Alyngham seems to match Family:William Myles and Joan Myles (1). You have already matched their child Thomas with the child Thomas of this family, and the surname for Joan in the existing family is almost certainly incorrect (you could fix it!).

What do you think? I've returned it to your review so that you can look at and maybe match these families: click on http://www.werelate.org/gedcom/index.php?gedcomId=3148 . When you've reviewed them, click on the "Ready to import" button again and I'll import it.

Thanks!--Dallan 22:42, 5 May 2009 (EDT)
