McKeithen:Boner Family.ged Ready for Review [16 April 2009]

Welcome to WeRelate! WeRelate is different from most family tree websites. By contributing to WeRelate you are helping to create Pando for genealogy, a free, unified family tree that combines the best information from all contributors.

Now that you have uploaded your GEDCOM, your next step is to preview what your pages will look like and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. When you have finished your review, your GEDCOM will be imported. Click here to review your GEDCOM.

Hi, thank-you for uploading your GEDCOM! The gedcom review process is brand new so I'm reviewing each of the gedcom's this week. While I was reviewing your GEDCOM I noticed a few things that I'd like to bring to your attention:

  • A number of people with birth dates after 1940 and no death dates have not been marked living. Would you please review them and mark the living ones living? You can do this by clicking on the People tab and clicking on the Birth date column to sort by birth date.
  • Some of the warnings look like they're things you will want to review in the future but there aren't any major issues.
  • I removed a couple of duplicate families (where you had two families for the same family in your GEDCOM): Jack Shephard and Lena Austin, and Woodrow McKeithen and Eleanor Shephard. Each family has just one occurrence now.
  • It's not a problem but just for your information, most of the places that didn't match wiki pages would match if there were commas between the city and state. You can match them if you want by going to the Places tab, clicking on a place without a match, adding a comma in the form at the bottom half of the screen, and clicking on Find/Add.

Once you've reviewed the living people, please re-mark your GEDCOM ready-to-import and we should be all set. Thanks!--Dallan 13:19, 16 April 2009 (EDT)
