Ufn and Uln [7 July 2014]

Hi, I noticed that you are adding pages with the abbreviations ufn and uln. Please note that WR's policy is to either leave the first/surname fields blank when adding a new page, or use the word Unknown when a name is not known. You can rename both the Person and Family pages to replace Ufn and Uln with Unknown by clicking on "Rename" in the menu of links on the left. If you have any questions, you can post here, I'll "watch" your talk page.

Duplicate Pages [10 July 2014]

Hi, Rbowers,

Good to see so many new pages being added, and it looks like you're doing them by hand, which is a lot of work. Unfortunately, you seem to be creating a lot of duplicate pages (2 or more pages for the same person). That's even more work, and as you probably know, one of the things that makes WeRelate special is that there are not supposed to be duplicate pages for the same person. When you create a page you should always check carefully to see if one for that person or that family already exists, and then click on "Select" to add it to your tree, rather than "Add". Also, it might be a good idea to check under the "My Relate" menu every once in a while to see if you have duplicate pages. If so, they should be merged. If you need help merging pages, let me know.--GayelKnott 23:13, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Haygoods in Georgia/Civil War [29 October 2014]

Hi, Rodney, My Grandfather's family were originally from Georgia. My Great Great Grandfather was born in Mississippi and my grandfather was born in Louisiana. My Great Great Grandfather was Henry Hickerson Haygood, who was one of the three men who captured Santa Anna. His name is on the San Jacinto Monument at Galveston, Texas. He was considered a Texas Hero. My Grandfather was named after his grandfather and his name was also Henry Hickerson Haygood. Thanks for the info and have a blessed day. The Haygood that I spoke of was Obediah from Marion Co., GA. He served in the Civil War and went to Dallas Co., AR, with my 2g, John Bowers.--Rbowers 21:30, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
