Error importing Tree of Life2011_ged.mht [18 May 2011]

We had an error while attempting to import your GEDCOM. This is most likely our fault. We will review the error and should have your pages ready tomorrow (or Monday if tomorrow falls on a weekend). There is no need to re-import your GEDCOM file.

For questions or problems, leave a message for Dallan or send an email to dallan@WeRelate.org.

The files you're uploading look like HTML pages with gedcom text embedded. If you tell me where you're trying to export a gedcom from I might be able to help.--Dallan 22:10, 19 May 2011 (EDT)

trying to import gedcom from ancestry.com--Mjacks12 05:33, 20 May 2011 (EDT)

I just tried this -- I went to tree settings, clicked on export a gedcom, then clicked on download a gedcom. That seemed to work for me, at least in Chrome and IE8. My guess is that you're doing the same thing, but your browser is saving it as an HTML page instead of a GEDCOM file. Have you tried right-clicking on the download button and selecting "save target as"? That might work better. Another option would be to try a different browser if you have one. Chrome and Firefox are both good.--Dallan 12:01, 21 May 2011 (EDT)

Find a Grave images [6 October 2011]

Hello, I am a volunteer administrator here on WeRelate. I noticed that you have added photos from Find A Grave. Photos from Find A Grave are not public domain. Unless there is clear indication on the image page that you either took the photograph or have permission from the copyright owner to use it on WeRelate (including agreeing to WeRelate's licensing), it will need to be deleted. Please see our policy here.

The best way to include those types of images is to link to the memorial page. For example, on the page for Mary Price, you could enter this in the text area: Photo of Mary's gravestone on [http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=56969478 FindAGrave.com]. The link would look like this:

Photo of Mary's gravestone on FindAGrave.com

Images can be deleted by clicking on More>delete from the image page. Please let me know if you have any questions. --Jennifer (JBS66) 10:18, 6 October 2011 (EDT)
