Mansell at Neath Abbey [19 August 2009]

Hello,

I think this is your family Family:George Mansell and Mary Jenkins (1). I have the Glamorgan CDs of Baptisms, Marriages and Deaths, all ending around 1837. There seems to be only one Mansell family recorded at Neath Abbey so I think the daughter Elizabeth Mansell c. 1819 was the lady who married John Thomas. They would then be the parents of you Mary Mansell Thomas.

I have earlier Mansell ancestry and haven't yet tied this George Mansell b. ca 1772 into my line.--Susan Irish 17:29, 19 August 2009 (EDT)

Hello, I am a volunteer admin. I help people learn how to use the system. I noticed you have a lot of images in the Review Needed category. I fixed the license for one. Could you look over Help:Image licensing and license as many as you can. I can help you with the rest. Generally, if you had to reduce the image to upload it, then you have reduced the resolution. In the case of newspapers, clippings are "small snippets" of a historical documents. If something was published before 1923, it is out of copyright. Let me know how it goes.  :) --sq 00:16, 8 November 2009 (EST)

I get it now. I'll make them all snippets because that's really what it is. None of the newspaper clippings are prior to 1923. The photos are scans of photos that were in themselves copies of very old images, like daguereotypes and tin types.

Glamorgan & Mansell [28 December 2009]

Hello Margaret,

A couple years back I purchased from the Glamorgan Family History Society, [ http://www.glamfhs.org ] their CDs of Glamorgan Burials, Marriages and Baptisms.

Another source that has been helpful to me is [ http://www2.swansea.gov.uk/_info/cambrian/ ] I have found a number of relatives mentioned but have not purchased any copies.

I believe these are the only sources I have used in addition to census records for the information I posted on your Mansell line. --Susan Irish 21:37, 27 December 2009 (EST)

Susan, thank you very much for this information. Happy New Year. Margaret--Mitzymoo 22:06, 27 December 2009 (EST)

Next step: Review your GEDCOM [20 April 2012]

You're not done yet!

WeRelate is different from most family tree websites. By contributing to WeRelate you are helping to create Pando for genealogy, a free, unified family tree that combines the best information from all contributors.

Now that you have uploaded McTucker.ged, your next step is to review what your pages will look like, review any potential warnings, and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. You need to review your GEDCOM before it can finish importing. We will keep your GEDCOM in the queue for two weeks to give you time to review it.

Note: if your gedcom contains many errors or multiple families, we’d ask that you resolve and correct the errors, delete this gedcom and re-submit it without the errors before merging it with families already on WeRelate. If the gedcom is very large, we’d suggest breaking it up into separate files (or families) and importing them one at a time, which makes the review and correction process easier.

Once you have finished your review and marked your GEDCOM Ready to import, one of our administrators will review your GEDCOM and finalize the import. This usually happens within 24 hours. You will receive a message here when the pages have been created.

Alma Stroheker [18 August 2013]

Hello My name is Terry Sullivan. I am researching my wife's family I came across these images of Alma Stroheker and was wondering if it would be possible to get digital copies of them. I see her on pages 44, 31, 35, 48.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Terry Sullivan--Terry Sullivan 10:03, 17 August 2013 (EDT)

I would be glad to send you the photos if you want to give me your e-mail address. Mine is margaretrutledge@earthlink.net.

Ancestry.com scanned the scrapbook for me on a big scanner, and I can easily crop the pictures that you want and send them to you. Are you related to Alma?--Mitzymoo 13:54, 17 August 2013 (EDT)

Please send them to tsullivan@kcsymphony.org Thank you very much.--Terry Sullivan 10:24, 18 August 2013 (EDT)

Alma is my wife's great aunt. Alma married John Henry Onions from near Coventry, England and died there around 1947. My wife's mother was her favorite niece. She will be tickled to see these.--Terry Sullivan 10:49, 18 August 2013 (EDT)
