User talk:Jensenje

Hello and welcome to the WeRelate virtual genealogical community. We appreciate your participation and contributions to our knowledge-base. If you have any questions or comments please email me. I don't know if you care--but if you create use only one surname in your surname and place page instead of both the husband's and wife's name, the system will automatically link you to the relevant surname pages. It makes it easier for your cousins to find you see Phillips in Texas You could put the husband's surname on the wife's page and the wife's surname on the husbands. So, you would have a page for Jensen in Utah and list the wife's surname in the related names.

Anyway, thanks so much for participating. We're glad to have you aboard.--sq 23:02, 11 September 2006 (MDT)

We really appreciate your participation in the virtual genealogical community. I just wanted to show you the person and family pages prototypes Person:Ella Grey (1) and Family:Daniel Phillips and Ella Grey (1). Help screens for them will be up very soon and the gedcom upload will be up in about 6-8 weeks. GEDCOM uploads will automatically generate person and family pages for you. If you want to create pages for these people, you would select the <go to page> button the left and then type Person:First and Last name, (first and last only, don't use middle names or Jr., etc.) For family pages, type Family:First and Last of the father "&" First and Last of the Mother. You know how the rest works. Thanks for all your participation.--sq 11:50, 9 October 2006 (MDT)

Person and Family pages

Hi, I noticed you were writing an page for William Max Brinton. WeRelate now has templates that automatically format ancestor and family pages, if your interested. You can also annotate pictures so names and info pop up when the cursor is dragged over people's faces. Check it out. You can go to Daniel Phillips and select edit, to see the template. You can create a person page by selecting the Go to/Add page button to the left, type Person:William Max Brinton and select Add new page. You could cut and paste from your existing page.--sq 22:38, 15 November 2006 (MST)

Image license [27 August 2008]

Hi, I am an admin for WeRelate and I will be taking care of image licensing. I noticed you had a question about your image. I don't know who took the photo and assume that it was not you. The copyright belongs to the person who took the photo or her studio. I marked it as fair use of a low resolution copy. The "fair use" rules allow us to use a low resolution copy for non-commercial purposes. Most scanners produce images that are too large to be uploaded unto this site. So if you already reduced the size of the image in order to upload it, you automatically reduced the resolution (number of pixels in the image). If you did not red--sq 23:15, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

Emily Swain Smith [18 May 2009]

I am researching Emily Smith. She was married to Hadyn Layborn Swain, later divorced (1880). Both from England and emigrated to Utah. I think a Henry Swain I find in 1880 with two wives is her brother but not sure.--Kathyroah 22:08, 17 May 2009 (EDT)

Articles being relocated to Person Pages [22 July 2016]

Hello. As a volunteer admin, I wanted to let you know that in keeping with the previous discussions listed here on your Talk page, several of the Article pages you created in 2006 are being re-created as Person pages to follow the current wiki structure. I will list them for you here as I come across them, so that you can know which changes have been made. No information will be deleted. It will simply be moved from an "Article" page to a "Person" page to allow for creation of your WeRelate tree. Then the Article page will be deleted (red links below). If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you, --cos1776 12:29, 22 July 2016 (UTC)
