Ref: Minnie Henderson & James George Poynter [11 October 2010]

Hi, my name is lisa Crawshaw I have only just started to look at our family tree. I am the great-grand daughter of Minnie and James. My mother was Minnie Lorna Peachey nee Poynter eldest child of Douglas & Kamana Poynter. I really don't know much about doing family trees etc but my family have nominated me to gather/research info on the Poynter side of the family for our upcoming reunion in 2012. If you have any information that might be useful I would really appreciate it. I have read the book Nelson's First Lawyer and been searching on0line which is how I came across this site.

I am a novice at this sort of thing but enjoy ferritting and have always been interested in family history.

Leonard Hill [7 February 2017]

Kia ora, Jeff. I am Liz Hill, granddaughter of Len Hill and Louie Simmonds. Are we related? I see you have my grandfather's name as Leonard Mander Hill. It was actually Leonard Alexander Hill. My father was Francis Mander Hill. The Mander came from Len's mother who was Elizabeth Mander. Are you ok with correcting Len's name? Thanks heaps for all the work you have done. I am trying to find out whether Mary Cargill is from the same family as the Cargills who founded Dunedin and Invercargill. I suspect not. Do you know?
