Welcome! [2 July 2017]

Hi User:Jeanne621, Welcome to WeRelate! Thank you for adding John Ash to his family. I hope you don't mind that I've added some sources to his page and that of his wife, Hannah. It is always fun to find another researcher who is working on some of the same family that I have worked on. That's why I love a collaborative site. So I hope you'll continue to add folks here on WeRelate. Folks can be added manually as I believe you did with John, Hannah & Levi, or you can upload a GEDCOM.

If you run into questions, there are places to ask for help: the watercooler and support pages (top right hand menu). I have learned to navigate this site a bit and can help some if you leave me a msg on my 'talk' page. Or send me an email via the WeRelate system by clicking on my user name which will take you to my User page, then click on 'more' menu on the left side.

I hope you will enjoy this site. --janiejac 20:53, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

I moved information to the appropriate page [4 February 2025]

Hi, Jeanne

Thanks for your contributions to WeRelate. Please note that I did 2 things with info you entered on the page of Isaiah Bruce Edgell:

  • I moved it from the Person page to the Family page, because that is where it is most relevant.
  • The information under the heading Marriage was halfway between redundant information (which is discouraged) and a source citation, so I turned it into a proper source citation by looking up the source and citing precisely what was in the source (e.g., not the full names of the groom and bride, because they weren't in the source).

I kept the list of children, which is also partially redundant, because it is more complete than the pages in WeRelate - I assume that some of the children might be living (or at least considered to be living by WeRelate).--DataAnalyst 19:57, 4 February 2025 (UTC) (volunteer administrator)
