Welcome

Welcome to WeRelate, your virtual genealogical community. We're glad you have joined us. At WeRelate you can easily create ancestor web pages, connect with cousins and other genealogists, and find new information. To get started:

  1. Take the WeRelate tour to see what you can do.
  2. Review the tutorials to learn how to make wiki pages for your ancestors.
  3. Read the etiquette page to learn expected behavior in a wiki.

If you need any help, I will be glad to answer your questions. Just click on my signature link below and then click on the “Leave a message” link under my name in the upper left corner of my profile page. Thanks for participating and see you around!--Jstump 20:55, 30 January 2009 (EST)

Callopy changes [19 May 2009]

Hi, I merged some pages as a volunteer administrator on WeRelate. If there was nothing different; then the duplicate pages may have been created when you uploaded your gedcom. If another user had a duplicate page you should find the user name on the page under watching. Look on the left side of the page near the bottom to see who is watching your page.

I am always interested in the Coker family but have not researched in Illinois. I know that one branch from the Georgia Coker's went to Illinois and June Barekman wrote a Coker history and she was in Illinois, but some of her data has since been found to be incorrect. Happy to try to answer questions about the Coker's from the South, but have not researched any from the Northeast. --Beth 20:53, 19 May 2009 (EDT)

Thanks, Beth. I haven't used this website much and there is so much to learn. It is pretty hard to "teach an old dog new tricks". Sandie--Fhxnut 21:16, 19 May 2009 (EDT)

Hang in there; I am an old dog and can still learn a few new tricks. The site is still in Beta and evolving rapidly so the tutorials are not always up to date. Dallan Quass is working very hard to make the site easier for newbies. We always welcome questions; you may ask them on the watercooler, which you can access on the toolbar under WeRelate:Watercooler, or you can just holler on my talk page. --Beth 21:33, 19 May 2009 (EDT)

Are we related? [26 March 2011]

I am a great, great, great, etc. granddaugher of Johannes Petrus Fleckenstein. My Great Grandfather was Ernst Fleckenstein who started a brewery in Faribault, Minnesota.--Juliejane 20:15, 25 March 2011 (EDT)

Esther Priebe [4 August 2013]

Did we ever communicate with each other? I am one of Esther Priebe and William fleckenstein's children. Are we related???--juliejane 17:53, 4 August 2013 (EDT)
