And can tell you how I mentally dealt with it myself. The more I worked on WeRelate, the more I recognized that tho he sometimes was difficult, he knows a lot more than I do about genealogy and WeRelate. I finally figured that if I could just think of him as a curmudgeon uncle that I could learn a lot from him if I just put my feelings aside. Like you would for a beloved uncle who just got a bit overly cranky as he aged. 'Uncle' is still part of the family and I learn what I can from him and don't reject him. He does do a lot of good for WeRelate if one can get over his critical manner. --janiejac 03:34, 9 June 2019 (UTC) |
