Marie-Jeanne Sylvestre [27 October 2008]

Thank you for bringing Marie-Jeanne Sylvestre's date discrepancy to my attention! I found Tanguay listed a baptism date, and I have added that to her page. You will likely be receiving more notices about page edits. I am slowly going through my list of duplicates!--JBS66 07:51, 27 October 2008 (EDT)

Garbled family [19 July 2009]

Please review these two families...

Family:Daniel Jenkins and Unknown Elizabeth (1)
Family:Daniel Jenkins and Unknown Elizabeth (2)

Each has a son Daniel showing the other family as his parents. Like in the song "I am my own grandfather?" --Judy (jlanoux) 13:12, 19 July 2009 (EDT)

children of Robt Stuart Moffett and Hadassah McClelland Guthrie [1 April 2011]

Hi Dale,

My grandmother is a Moffett connected to the Augusta Co., VA Moffetts. She was born and raised there, as was my dad. I have John Moffett's Bible, etc.

I note someone entered Artemus Hugh Moffett, born Aug 1832. His brother John Guthrie Moffett was born on 15 Mar 1832. Instead, I have a William G. Moffett, born abt Jul 1835. I believe he died 30 Nov 1855, buried at Tinkling Spring Presby. Cem. On the 1850 VA Census, he is listed as William, age 15, with his parents and siblings. No Artemus. It's sure an unusual name. I'd love to include him on my FGS if someone has some documentation on Artemus.

I'm totally new to werelate. I've been putting most of my data on Findagrave. I love that Werelate is free, just like Findagrave for all to share and discuss.

Just checking.

Probably a cousin of yours, Lindy (LSP on Findagrave)--LSP 23:44, 31 March 2011 (EDT)

Moffett bible sourced [6 April 2011]

Hi Dale,

I note that M'Ledge Moffett's MOFFETT bible is sourced on the page for Jane Ledgerwood. Do you know who has the bible now? I remember when she died in 1969. Our house was called to find our kin who was mentioned in her will.

I would like to get the data from the bible and see which bible it is. Her father or grandfathers?

Moffett Bible owned by Dr. M'ledge Moffett, Rodford College, VA. [10 March 2013]

Hi Dale,

I note on John Moffett, I's page (D 10Oct1805 in VA) that it references my cousin's bible. Where did you find "Moffett Bible owned by Dr. M'ledge Moffett, Rodford College, VA."

I would be interested in getting a copy of it.

Pls advise,

Which line are you through?

David McCrory. [24 February 2014]

Hello, I was reading what you have on this person. I'd like to make a correction. David's daughter Elizabeth was married to Matthew's brother Alexander. Matthew was a friend and neighbor to David. I happen to know this because it's part of my history. Elizabeth and Alexander were my Great-Great-Great-Great Grandparents. So David would have been my 5 times Great Grandfather.
