DAVID, Westerly, br. of the preced. m. Elizabeth d. of the sec. James
Babcock. DAVID, Salem, d. prob. June 1662, for Samuel Archard of
S. was order. to admin. in behalf of the country, so that perhaps he was
only trans. EDMUND, Lynn, was first at Watertown, rem. a. 1643, not,
as Lewis has it, 1640, came in the Elizabeth, from Ipswich 1634, aged
33, with w. Mary, 32; and two ch. John, 3 yrs. and Thomas, 9 mos. had
James, b. 15 Jan. 1636; and Nathaniel, 25 Aug. 1639, b. at W. beside
a ch. bur. 6 Nov. 1642, 10 days old, and had two more ch. b. at L.
where he d. 1651. His will, of 18 Jan. pro. 20 Feb. 1651, names w.
extrix. and s. John and Thomas. His wid. Mary d. 7 Sept. 1658.
EDWARD, Barnstable, s. of the first George, b. perhaps in Eng. (yet
Mr. Hamblen thinks him the s. recorded as Ephraim, and I think, tho.
his authority is great, he must be wrong here, for the will names both);
m. 9 May 1661, Hannah, d. of the first Henry Gobb of the same,
common. call. Elder C. had Hannah, b. 24 Apr. 1662; Eleazer, b. 26
June 1664; John, 1 Jan. 1666; and Thomas, Mar. 1669. EZEKIEL,
Boston, merch. B. of William of Farmington, by his sec. w. Mary, d. of
famous master Ezekiel Cheever, in honor of wh. he was nam. and in
imitat. of wh. after leav. coll. he bec. an instructor, first at Westfield,
soon serv. as his gr.f.'s assist. at the Boston gr. sch. was selectman, rep.
1723, and oft. aft. He m. 18 Mar. 1702, Mary Breadon, had Mary, b.
21 Jan. 1703; and his w. d. next mo. He next m. 11 Oct. 1704, Abigail
Kilcup, wh. I judge to have been wid. of Roger, had Abigail, 12 June
1706; William, 28 Nov. 1707, d. young; Sarah, 21 May 1710, prob. d.
young; Elizabeth 22 Aug. 1712; Hannah, 14 Sept. 1714, prob. d. young;
and Ezekiel, 15 Apr. 1717, H. C. 1735; and d. 14 Aug. 1755, above
80 yrs. old. Most of my details are deriv. from a very careful correpond.
as mark. in Geneal. Reg. VIII. 48. FRANCIS, Boston 1663, a
boatman. GEORGE, Plymouth, and Scituate, where he join. the ch. 20
Sept. 1635, a clothier, was from East Greenwich, in Kent, bef. 1633,
and rem. to Barnstable bef. 1641, had in Eng. m. Sarah Jenkins, by her[1]
had sev. ch. b. there, as Mary, wh. m. 14 Nov. 1643, John Bryant;
prob. George; and Thomas; perhaps Edward; Jabez, wh. d. unm.;
and James, but at S. had John, b. 2, bapt. 11 Mar. 1638; and at B. had
Ephraim, 23, bapt. 25 July 1641; and Sarah, 2, bapt. 11 Feb. 1644;
but we know not the date of his d. yet it was prob. aft. 1663, for his will
was brot. forward 3 Mar. 1664. It names w. Mary, s. Ephraim,
George, Thomas, James, Edward, John, and d. Sarah. John was k. by
the Ind. unm. 26 Mar. 1676, under capt. Pierce. His d. Mary, wh. had
m. 14 Nov. 1643 John Bryant of Scituate, and had seven ch. was d.
seven yrs. bef. her f.; and Sarah m. 26 Dec. 1663, James Cobb, and,
