Foxwell, purchas. lds. at Scarborough, but both soon came back.
GEORGE, Barnstable, s. of the preced. b. in Eng. prob. m. Dec. 1654,
Mary, d. of Bernard Lumbard, had George, b. Sept. 1655; Mary, 9
May 1657; Sarah; 12 Jan. 1660; Hannah, July 1662, a d. at 5 yrs.;
Melatiah, 13 Jan. 1661; Bathshua, Oct. 1667; Jabez, 10 June 1670;
Benjamin, 22 Nov. 1671; Jonathan, 25 July 1674; John, 1 Dec. 1676;
and Nathan, 26 July 1678; and he d. 20 Mar. 1710. GEORGE, Casco,
bef. 1640 had gr. of ld. Mr. Willis, in Vol. I. 37 and 174, conject. that
he was s. of the first ment. George; but in my opin. he was older, and
may have been s. of Thomas, tho. he d. without issue male, Willis thinks.
He liv. and d. at Falmouth, had s. John, to wh. were gr. 100 acres as
early as 1657; and Philip; beside four ds. Ann, wh. m. James Ross;
Susanna, m. Thomas Cloice or Cloyse; Mary, b. at F. 1654, m. first,
Thomas Skillings, sec. Jotham Lewis, and third, a Wilkins, was liv. at
Salem 1732; and Hannah, m. James Darling. GEORGE, Barnstable,
eldest s. of George the sec. of the same, by w. Elizabeth had Thankful, bapt.
16 Sept. 1683,[1] and I find no more of him. ISAAC, Boston, perhaps s.
of John of Charlestown, freem. 1690, m. 25 May 1680, Mary Davis,
had Mary, b. May 1681; Isaac, 21 Aug. 1683; Joseph, 16 Nov. 1685;
John, 25 Feb. 1688; Elizabeth 12 Feb. 1689; and Abraham, posthum. 9 June
1691; and he d. at Malden 3 Apr. preced. Yet it must be obs. that this
Isaac, is by Lewis, in Hist. of L. 108, made s. of William of Roxbury;
and the hist. asserts that his gr.f Nathan was gr,s. of this person.
But Court rec. as brot. out in the invalua. Hist. of Watertown by Bond,
p. 125, show the contra. ISRAEL, Westerly 1679, br. of Daniel, m. Jane,
d. of sec. James Babcock, had Israel, b. 22 June 1695; Benjamin, 8
June 1697 ; Jane, 21 May 1700; and Ann, 13 July 1704. JABEZ,
Barnstable, s. of George the sec. by w. Experience had John, bapt. in
her right, 14 Nov. 1697, wh. prob. d. soon; and John, again, May 1698.
JAMES, Barnstable, s. of the first George, perhaps b. in Eng. was selectman
and lieut. m. 31 Oct. 1655, Sarah Lane, d. of George of Hingham,
had John, b. 29 Oct. 1656, bapt. 27 Sept. foll.; Samuel, 10 Apr. 1659;
Sarah, 4 Mar. 1661; James, 3 June 1664; Susanna; and Ebenezer;
and he d. 4 Oct. 1713, in 82d yr. Sarah m. 6 Jan. 1685, Thomas
Lincoln; and next, 20 Feb. 1699, Robert Waterman. JAMES, a soldier,
k. at Hatfield by the Ind. 25 Aug. 1675. Ano. JAMES was of Westerly
1679, s. of John sen. that was there ten yrs. earlier, m. Sarah, d. of the sec.
James Babcock. JAMES, Boston, freem. 1684, with prefix of respect.
JOHN, Charlestown 1634, freem. 1646, by w. Margaret had John, b. 12,
bapt. 14 Sept. 1638; Joseph and Mary, tw. bapt. 29 Mar. 1640; Samuel,
24, bapt. 27 June 1641; Ebz. b. 10 Sept. 1642; Sarah, 24 Dec.
