d. of Sylvester Baldwin, had Mary, bapt. 1645, wh. m. 16 June 1668,
the sec. Matthew Woodruff; John, 1646; Robert, 1648; Samuel, 1650,
d. young; Samuel, again, 1653; and Joseph, posthum. 10 July 1655;
and d. 12 May 1655. His wid. m. 1676, William East, and d. 1708.
Of the ch. only John is kn. to have had issue. SAMUEL, Branford, s. of
the first John, too, freeman's o. 1666, and was there in 1667, and next
yr. rem. to Newark, N. J. Tho. name of the w. is not seen, Mr. Judd
gave me names and dates of ch. Elizabeth b. 6 Jan. 1650; Mary, 1 Apr.
1653; Samuel, 2 May 1654; John, 28 Oct. 1657; Dorothy, 26 May
1660; Josiah, 3 Aug. 1662; and Joshua, 11 Mar. 1665. SAMUEL, New
London, s. of John of the same, rem. with his br. Joseph to Milford;
but it seems impossib. to pick all these Plums.
PLUMLY, ALEXANDER, Braintree, by w. Esther had s. Submit, b. 8
Jan. 1654. He was one of the promoters of settlem. at Mendon,
1663.
PLUMMER, BENJAMIN, Rowley, s. prob. of the first Joseph, m. Mary,
d. of Thomas Wood, had Joseph, b. 1680; Benjamin, 1682; Thomas,
1684; Stephen, 1688; and Nathan, 1702; beside four ds. EPHRAIM,
Newbury, third s. of Samuel the first, m. 15 Jan. 1680, Hannah, d. of
Henry Jacques, had Mary, b. 19 Feb. 1681; Hannah, 12 Oct. 1682;
Samuel, 27 Oct. 1684; Elizabeth 21 Nov. 1686; John, 7 Nov. 1688; Ruth,
5 Nov. 1690; Daniel, 10 Mar. 1693; Richard, 3 Aug. 1695; Bitfield,
12 June 1697; Sarah, 26 July 1699; and Emma, 21 June 1704.
FRANCIS, Newbury 1635, linen weaver, came in 1633, says one tradit.
from Woolwich, near London, but ano. says from Wales; we kn. not in
wh. town he first inhab. but he was freem. 14 May 1634, brot. w. Ruth,
wh. d. 18 Aug. 1647, and sev. ch. certain. Samuel and Joseph. He m.
31 Mar. 1648, wid. Ann Palmer, wh. d. 18 Oct. 1665; and he m. third,
29 Nov. foll. Beatrice wid. of William Cantlebury, and d. 17 Jan.1673.
His d. Mary m. 20 May 1660, John Cheney the sec. FRANCIS, Newbury,
s. of Joseph, m. Mary Elithorp, perhaps d. of Nathaniel, had
Mary, b. 15 May 1701. JOHN, at Hatfield, k. by the Ind. 25 Aug.
1675, may have been a soldier, not inhab. of H. but come from Dorchester,
in Johnson's comp. JONATHAN, Newbury, youngest s. of Joseph
the first, m. 16 June 1696, Sarah Pearson, perhaps d. of John of Rowley,
had John, b. 25 Mar. 1697; Daniel, 7 Jan. 1699; Mary 6 Dec.
1701; and Jonathan, 14 Aug. 1705; and d. 27 Sept. 1726. JOSEPH,
Newbury, s. of the first Francis, b. in Eng. a. 1630, m. 23 Dec. 1652,
Sarah, d. of John Cheney the elder, rem. to Rowley, perhaps late, had
Joseph, b. 11 Sept. 1654; Benjamin, 23 Oct. 1656; Sarah, 13 May
1660, Francis, 23 Apr. 1662, d. young; Francis, again, 25 Feb. 1664;
