1672, William Carr. ROBERT, Providence 1645, may have been only
trans. inhab. ROBERT, Salisbury, s. of Robert of the same, m. 30 Oct.
1684, Martha Goldwyer, perhaps d. of George, had Robert, b. 3 Sept.
1687; and Sarah, 3 Feb. 1690; was freem. that yr. and d. 22 Aug. of
the same. SAMUEL, Falmouth, 1688, s. of Richard. Willis I. 143,
190. Four of this name had, in 1829, been gr. at Harv. and two at
Dartm. coll.

    PILE, WILLIAM, Salisbury 1659, rem. to Nantucket, thence to Dover,
bef. July 1663.

    PILLING or PILLEN, JOHN, Kittery 1639, a fisherman, was prob. of
Dover 1653.

    PILSBURY, ABEL, Newbury, s. of William, by w. Mary had Joshua,
b. 12 Apr. 1679; John, 13 Sept. 1682; Jacob, 20 Mar. 1687; Abel, 12
Apr. 1690; and Elizabeth 20 Mar. 1694. CALEB and INCREASE, brs. of
the preced. were of Newbury 1678, but we kn. no more of either exc. that
the former d. 4 July 1680, acc. Coffin, wh. says nothing of the latter
aft. his b. JOB, Newbury, eldest br. of the preced. freem. 1670, m. 5
Apr. 1677, Catharine Gavett, had Daniel, b. 20 Sept. 1678; and Josiah,
17 Apr. 1686. MOSES, Newbury, br. of the preced. freem. 1673, m. 1668,
Susanna, wid. of Lionel Worth, d. of John Whipple,[1] had Joseph,
b. 6 June 1670; Dorothy, 9 Apr. 1675; Susanna, 5 Feb. 1677; Judith, 16 Mar.
1679; Caleb, 27 July 1681; and Hannah, 3 May 1686; but I doubt that the
last five must have been by a sec. w. Coffin's page does
not allude to d. of the first. Yet as w. of Worth she had brot. a number.

1662; and Joshua, 30 June 1671; freem. 1668, d. 19 June 1686, aged
71. WILLIAM, Newbury, s. of the preced. m. 13 Dec. 1677, Mary
Kenny
, had William, b. 22 Mar. 1680, prob. d. soon; Experience, 16
Apr. 1682; William, again, 7 July 1687; Lydia, 25 Dec. 1689; Increase,
5 Jan. 1695; and Apphia, 8 May 1700. Nine of this name had,
in 1834, been gr. of N. E. coll.
