may be a mistake, for D. Aldis m. Sarah, and I believe her to have been
d. of the sec. Moses of Braintree; Elizabeth m. 10 Feb. 1685, Jacob Pepper;
and Sarah m. Enoch Hunt, if the Fam. Geneal. be foll. but my research
makes E. Hunt m. 29 Oct. 1678, Mary Paine. Into such errors it is much
easier to fall than to recover from them. STEPHEN, Dedham, m. 3 Nov.
1652, Ann, d. of Francis Chickering, of wh. aft. hard search I can find
no more, unless he be the Rehoboth man, and his wid. m. 2 Dec. 1679,
Thomas Metcalf of D. STEPHEN, Charlestown, or Malden, freem.
1665, by w. Elizabeth had Mary, b. 15 Nov. 1658, was tythingman 1679, at
C. adj. M. STEPHEN, Braintree, eldest s. of Stephen of the same, freem.
1678, m. 20 Feb. 1682, Ellen, d. of William Veazie, had Stephen, b. 7
Nov. foll.; Ellen, bapt. 12 Oct. 1684; Samuel, 13 Feb. 1687, d. at 2
yrs.; Samuel, again, 14 Apr. 1689; and d. 24 May 1690. His wid.
m. 5 Oct. 1693, Joseph Crosby. STEPHEN, Rehoboth, eldest s. of
the sec. Stephen of the same, by first w. Elizabeth had, it is thot. no ch. but
by sec. w. m. 12 Aug. 1707, Mary Brintnall, had Stephen, b. 30 Ar.
1708; and Edward, 22 Jan. 1710; and the f. d. 12 Mar. foll. His wid.
it is said, rem. to Conn. THOMAS, Salem, a weaver, from Wrentham, in
Co. Suffk. came 1637, aged 50, in the Mary Ann of Yarmouth, with w.
Elizabeth 53; and six ch. Mary, b. 12 Oct. 1611; Thomas, 18 Jan. 1613;
Elizabeth 20 Jan. 1615; Dorothy, 6 Dec 1618; John, 26 Aug. 1620; and
Sarah, 7 Mar. 1622; as by a very trustworthy anc. docum. appears, in
wh. he (call. s. of Thomas and Catharine of Cooklie, near Halesworth,
in Co. Suffk.) is said to be b. 11 Dec. 1586, m. this w. 22 Nov. 1610,
and, beside the six ch. brot. over, had Peter, 14 Mar. 1617, wh. prob. d.
young; and Nathaniel, 21 July 1626, wh. d. under 10 yrs. He had,
says Felt, gr. of ld. 1637, was freem. 2 June 1641, unless it was his s. then
adm. who. seems much more prob.; made his will 10 Apr. 1638, and by
the bef. ment. docum. is supposed to have d. 1640. Mary m. Philemon
Dickinson. THOMAS, Dedham, s. of the preced. b. in Eng. prob. the
freem. of 2 June 1641, by w. Rebecca Ware had Rebecca, b. 19 Sept. 1642;
Thomas, 19, bapt. 24 Mar. 1644; John, b. 27 Apr. 1646; and Elizabeth 6,
bapt. 12 Mar. 1648, and he d. 3 Aug. 1686. His will was made 26 July
preced. in wh. beside w. Rebecca, he provides for s.-in-law Thomas
Patten, whose w. Rebecca his d. m. 1 Apr. 1662, had d. leav. Rebecca,
and for Elizabeth Hunting, w. of John, m. 18 Apr. 1671; and devise ld.
to s. Thomas, gives resid. of est. equal. between s. Thomas and John.
The wid. made her will 3 Mar. 1688. * THOMAS, Yarmouth 1643, had
been there certainly four yrs. for he was rep. 1639 (tho. no respect is due
to report of his com. 1621), rem. to Eastham, of wh. he was rep. 1671
and six yrs. more, had, beside Eleazer, b. 10 Mar. 1659, wh. d. young,
