m. 1704, Samuel Clapp. JOHN, Weymouth, by w. Esther had
Fearnot, b. 29 June 1655; John, 12 Apr. 1659, d. soon; John, again,
25 Dec. 1661; Esther, 28 Sept. 1664; and Patience, 4 Oct. 1668.
Perhaps he was s. b. in Eng. of an elder JOHN of the same, wh. had
Mary, b. 15 June 1639; and Abigail, 14 Mar. 1641, whose sec. or third
w. made her will, 14 June 1652, in wh. her s. Joseph Barker, and d.
Sarah Hunt are refer. to; and this younger John may be the officer in
the Ind. war, 1691, ment. by Niles in his Hist. 3 Mass. Hist. Coll. VI.

Elizabeth d. of Thomas Goldthwait of the same, had John, b. Oct. 1662;
Samuel, May 1664; William, June 1669; Elizabeth Feb. 1672; Jonathan,
1675; Thomas, 1678, d. at 2 yrs.; Hannah, 15 Apr. 1681;
and Mary, 28 Mar. 1687. Prob. he had sec. w. Ann, d. of that wid.
Dorcas Hoar, wh. was long imprison. and sentenc. to d. for witchcr.
but he and his w. obt. reprieve. JOHN, Northampton, eldest s. of John of
the same, freem. 1690, m. 4 Nov. 1686, Mehitable, d. of Medad Pomeroy,
had Mehitable, b. 13 Mar. 1690; Experience, 17 Apr. 1693; Medad,
26 Mar. 1699; Catharine, 17 Aug. 1701; John, 1 Apr. 1704; tw. ch.
1 June 1706, both d. soon; and Thankful, 18 Feb. 1709, d. in few days.
He d. 20 Mar. 1720; and his wid. d. 8 Nov. 1755, in her 90th yr.
JOSEPH, Northampton, br. of the preced. m. 3 June 1696, Mindwell, d.
of Medad Pomeroy, had Sarah, b. 10 Mar. 1697; Esther, 1 Jan. 1700,
d. young, Eunice, 12 Mar. 1703; Mindwell, 15 Mar. 1705; Phineas,
27 Sept. 1707; Joseph, 24 Nov. 1709; Thankful, 9 Feb. 1712; and
Simeon, 28 Oct. 1714; he m. sec. w. 30 Aug. 1733, Mindwell Porter,
and d. 3 Dec. 1734. JONATHAN, Northampton, youngest br. of the
preced. m. 3 Apr. 1711, Mary French, perhaps d. of Thomas of Deerfield,
had Jonathan, b. 25 Jan. 1712; Abigail, 1 Dec. 1713; Charles, 3
July 1716; Mary, 31 May 1718; Beriah, 2 Oct. 1721, d. Apr. foll.; Seth,
18 Apr. 1723; Oliver, 20 Apr. 1726, wh. d. at Louisbourg, soon aft. its
conq. 1745; rem. to Bolton, and had Gideon, 24 Aug. 1729. See Hinman,
280. His w. d. 24 Mar. 1758, aged 71, and he d. 10 June 1774. JOSEPH,
one of the flower of Essex, k. with his capt. and gr. part of his comp. at
Bloody Brook, may have been br. of John. MARK, Charlestown 1658, by
w. Mary, adm. of the ch. 20 Nov. 1659, had Mark; beside Mary, b. 28 Mar.
preced. both bapt. 27 Nov. of that yr.; two ch. bapt. 6 May 1660, whose
names are not found; Hannah, 18 Dec. 1664, d. soon; Hannah, again,
4 Mar. 1666; and Samuel, 19 Nov. 1671. PETER, Sudbury 1654,
deac. and rep. 1689 and 90, d. 27 Aug. 1704. Prob. he had ch. of wh.
one may have been Peter, ano. Richard, and was freem. 1690. PHILIP,
