27 June 1687, d. next yr.; David, 1 June 1692; and Joseph, 6 Apr.
1695, and d. 23 Dec. 1720. The name was turn. to Boardman and
other forms. THOMAS, Ipswich, freem. 4 Mar. 1635, rep. 1636, rem.
prob. to Barnstable, there m. 3 Mar. (other rec. says 10 Mar.) 1645, Hannah,
d. of Anthony Annable, had Hannah, b. May 1646; Thomas, Sept.
1648; Samuel, July 1651; Desire, May 1654, Mary, Mar. 1656; Mehitable,
Sept. 1658; and Tristram, Aug. 1661; and d. 25 May 1679.
The name is Burnam in Geneal. Reg. IX. 315; but the com. spell. is
Bowman. His s. Samuel was k. 26 Mar. 1676, in the hard fight under capt.
Pierce, at Rehoboth. THOMAS, Ipswich, perhaps s. of the preced. freem. 1682.
WILLIAM, perhaps of Wethersfield 1645, was of Guilford; 1650.

    BORLAND, FRANCIS, Boston 1684, but whether this be the yr. of his
first com. is not kn. His d. Jane m. 4 Sept. 1750, John Still Winthrop,
Y. C. 1737.

    BOSTWICK or BOSTICK, ARTHUR, came from Co. Chester, acc. tradit.
with s. John, to Stratford, an early sett. bef. 1650, had then w. Ellen,
and they agreed in 1674, that the unit. prop. be div. into halves, her sh.
to feoffes. She was sec. w. and d. near the begin. of 1678. By former
w. he had John, and other child. whose names are unkn. tho. tradit.
(wh. has support), names them Arthur and Zechariah. JOHN, Stratford
1666 or earlier, s. of Arthur, b. in Eng. m. Mary, d. of John Brimsmead,
had John, b. 4 May 1667; Zechariah, 24 or 28 July 1669;
Joseph, 11 May 1672; Mary, 14 Feb. 1675; Elizabeth 1 Oct. 1677; and
Jane, 13 Apr. 1680. He d. 1689, leav. good est. JOHN, s. of the
preced. by w. Abigail had John, b. 1689; Robert; Ebenezer; Joseph;
Nathaniel, 1699; Lemuel, 1704; beside two ds. as tradit. tells, when he
rem. 1707 to the young planta. of New Milford, there had Daniel, 1708;
and Mary, 8 Feb. 1715. JOSEPH, Stratford, youngest br. of the preced.
m. 14 June 1698, Ann Burr, had Abigail, b. 24 Sept. 1700; Abraham,
5 Sept. 1702; and Hannah, 3 Jan. 1705. ZECHARIAH, Stratford, br. of
the preced. had by rec. Mary, 1692; David, 1693; Martha, 1695; Jonathan,
b. 1 Apr. 1697; Susanna, 22 Nov. 1700; Parnel, 15 Apr. 1702; Elizabeth 12
May 1704; Meredith; and Martha; but wh. was his w. is unkn.

    BOSWAY, WILLIAM, is the name borne on the rolls of Turner's comp.
1676, of whose resid. I am less solicitous, because so many are incorrect.
writ. that we can easily doubt the accuracy of this.

    BOSWELL, JAMES, Wethersfield 1658, d. 24 Dec. 1660, prob. without
fam. JOHN, Boston 1630, prob. came in the fleet with Winthrop early
mem. of the ch. d. soon. SAMUEL, Bradford, a. 1663, Rowley 1671,
had Samuel. SAMUEL, Boston, possib. s. of the preccd. by w. Mary
had Richard, b. 9 June 1678. Sometimes this name is Buswell.
