Marriages at Boothby Graffoe, 1562 to 1837.

Notes.

These Marriages are contained in four volumes as follows :—

Volume I., bound in parchment boards, consists of 22 leaves of parchment, measuring 12½ by 5½ inches, and containing entries of Baptisms and Burials from 1720 to 1783 inclusive, and Marriages to 1776. A note at the beginning says, “ This Booke was Bought by Wm. Barker, Churchwarden for the year 1721, Price 6s. 0d.”

Volume II., bound in paper boards, consists of 10 parchment leaves measuring 13¾ by 7 inches, and contains entries of Baptisms 1783 to 1802, Burials 1784 to 1802, and Marriages 1778 to 1802.

Volume III., bound in tree-calf, consists of 8 parchment leaves, the fifth leaf blank and the rest containing entries of Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials from 1803 to 1812 inclusive.

Volume IV., of paper leaves with the usual printed forms, contains Marriages from 1813 to 1837.

The Marriages 1562 to 1719 are supplied by Canon C. W. Foster from the Bishops' Transcripts.
