I. Lois Prudence Gilcrest; Born near Akron, Ohio, May 21st, 1850. Married Andrew Martin Hettinger of Fayette, Ohio, in Kearney, Nebraska, August 26th, 1903.

Mr. Hettinger was born in Fremont, Ohio, of German parents. His grandfather having a large family, mostly boys, left Germany to escape the militarism of the Kaiser. He was brought up on the farm but in later days he taught school in the west for twenty-five years. They went back to Ohio and bought the old Hettinger homestead. After farming proved too strenuous for them at their age they retired from it and at present are living in Boise City, Idaho.

II. Caroline Gilcrest; of this one I have no data, only that she and Lois Prudence were children of the first wife; Sophia Bliss, who lived but a few years.

III. Frank Hermand Gilcrest; Born at Princeton, Illinois. (Date is not given, but probably about 1858.) Married Fannie Margaret Wemple in Lincoln, Nebraska.

For many years he engaged in the lumber business in Kearney, Nebraska. Now retired and living in Pasadena, California.

2. Frank Alexander Gilcrest; Born in Kearney, Nebraska.

IV. Caroline Jane Gilcrest; Born June 8th, 1860, at Princeton, Illinois. Married Harry Wylie Schaschke, September 7th, 1892, at Kearney Nebraska. Mr. Schaschke is now connected with a mercantile house in Boston, Massachusetts. They live in Newtonville, a suburb.

1. Frederick Gilcrest Schaschke; Born August 6th, 1893, at Kearney, Nebraska. Died February 5th, 1920, at Boston, Massachusetts.

V. Clementine Vallandingham Gilcrest; Born October 17th, 1865, at Princeton, Illinois. Was for many years connected with her brother, Frank H., in the lumber business at Kearney, Nebraska. Unmarried. Now living in Pasadena, California.

I. Christopher Alexander Mason. Born November 10th, 1844, in Clinton County, Ohio.

A contractor and builder. Married Mary E. Drake at Princeton, Illinois, in 1870. Moved to

Montana in the 80's and engaged in sheep ranching. In 1904 moved to Thorney, Arkansas, and engaged in farming.

1. Gertie Mason; Born in 1871, at Princeton, Illinois.

2. Eddie Mason; Born in 1873 at Princeton, Illinois.

Both children died there in 1877.

II. John W. Mason; Born August 5th, 1847, in Clinton County, Ohio. Died at Princeton, Illinois, July 3rd, 1849.

III. Francis Marion Mason; Born April 15th, 1853, at Princeton, Illinois. Married Maggie Oblinger at Albion, Iowa, November 3rd, 1875.

Occupation, house-carpenter at Princeton, Illinois. Moved in 1876 to Carbon Center, Missouri; occupation, farm implements.

Moved in 1879 to Marshalltown, Iowa. Occupation, Building Contractor. In 1886 to Ukiah, California. Building Contractor, Lumber Manufacturing, Hardware and Building Material. In 1902 to Portland, Oregon; Dealer in timber lands, contracting and fruit farming. In 1916 to San Francisco, California; Apartment houses and building.

1. Guy F. Mason; Born August 10th, 1879, at Carbon Center, Missouri.

2. Worley F. Mason; Born June 10th, 1884, at Valentine, Nebraska.

3. Maybelle F. Mason; Born June 9th, 1886, at Marne, Iowa. In 1923 all living in San Francisco.

IV. Willemina Mason; Born May 2nd, 1856, at Princeton, Illinois. Died January 5th, 1881, at Carbon Center, Missouri.
