[edit] Series InformationThe New Hampshire Provincial and State Papers are a series of 40 volume series published by the New Hampshire state legislature, and compiled and edited over 77 years by various editors. The primary editors were Nathaniel Bouton, Isaac Weare Hammond, Albert Stillman Batchellor, Henry Harrison Metcalf, and Otis Grant Hammond. The volumes include information on provincial and state documents and records, town records and charters, rolls and documents relating to soldiers in the Revolutionary War (and in the French and Indian wars), probate records, and court records. Many of the volumes include a wealth of genealogical data. Edward Holden posted a detailed summary of the volumes on the website of the New England Historic Genealogical Society (americanancesters.org). This summary is available online: New Hampshire Provincial and State Papers (PDF file).
