Pistyll is a village and community (or parish) in the Welsh county of Gwynedd (and formerly in the historic county of Caernarvonshire, and located on the Llŷn Peninsula. The community includes the village of Llithfaen, and has a population of 492, increasing to 566 at the UK census of 2011.

In 1934 the parish of Carnguwch was absorbed into Pistyll.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Pistyll from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"PISTILL, a parish in Pwllheli [registration] district, Carnarvon; on the W coast of the Lleyn peninsula, under Rivel mountain, 1½ mile N N E of Nevin [Nefyn], and 5½ N W of Pwllheli [railway] station. Post-town: Nevin, under Pwllheli. Acres: 3,949; of which 138 are water. Real property: £1,276. Population: 495. Houses: 124. The property is divided among a few. Granite is quarried for shipment to London. The living is a [perpetual] curacy, annexed to the rectory of Edern, in the diocese of Bangor. The church is ancient; and there is a dissenting chapel."
