Melton Mowbray Rural District existed in Leicestershire, England from 1894 to 1935. The rural district was created in 1894 under the Local Government Act 1894 as a successor to the Melton Rural Sanitary District. It entirely surrounded, but did not include, the town of Melton Mowbray which was made an Urban District.

Under the County Review Orders of the 1930s it was merged with the Belvoir Rural District, located to the northwest, to form a larger Melton and Belvoir Rural District in 1935. The parishes of Eye Kettleby and Sysonby, which were adjacent to Melton Mowbray were absorbed into the urban district.

The parishes numbered B1 through B9 are discussed under Belvoir Rural District.
