Blunsdon is a group of villages now in the Borough of Swindon or Swindon unitary authority, formerly within the historic county of Wiltshire, England, about 4 miles (6 km) north of the centre of Swindon. Broad Blunsdon, Blunsdon St. Andrew and adjoining Lower Blunsdon are taken together and usually known simply as Blunsdon. The hamlet of Broadbush is now contiguous with Broad Blunsdon. The A419 dual carriageway divides the area into Blunsdon St Andrew to the west and Broad Blunsdon to the east. The parish had a population of 12,414 in the UK census of 2011.

Blunsdon St. Andrew was also the name of the ancient or ecclesiastical parish and is marked as the parish on Ordnance Survey maps which show parish boundaries (noted below).

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Broad Blunsdon from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"BLUNSDON (Broad), a chapelry in Highworth parish, Wilts; 3½ miles SE of Cricklade, and 4 N of Swindon [railway] station. It includes the tything of Bury-Blunsdon; and has a post office under Swindon. Acres: 2,260. Rated property: £2,194. Population: 806. Houses: 198. The property is divided among a few. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol. Value: £300. Patron: the Bishop of [Gloucester] and [Bristol] The church is good."
