Entering Marriage Event [3 April 2016]
In the "add event" pull down there is no provision to add a marriage, so I enter marriage as an unknown and qualified the marriage as a "marriage at common law." After saving the page, two marriage events appeared. How do I add a marriage event?

- Hi, Lee. Thanks for cleaning up some of these Ramsey pages. Marriages go on a separate page -- a Family page. If you look to the right of William's Person page, you will see two "blocks" of people. Both represent Families. The first, in this case, is the Family Page for William's parents, which includes their marriage, and a listing of their children. (Like the old Family Group Sheet, if you are familiar with that). The second block is the Family Page for William and his wife Agnes/Nancy, their marriage, and their children. If William had a second wife, their would be another "block" on the right hand side of the page, for another Family page.
- To edit (add, change, remove) wives and children, and provide marriage information, you have to go to the correct Family page. Just click the "Spouse and Children" hyperlink at the top of the block, and it should take you to the Family Page. There is more about Family Pages here: Portal:Family.
