[add comment] [edit] What I did and why [24 November 2008]Lmuessig, Just wanted you to know what I did and why. 1. Sources that only refer to uploaded GEDCOM file names are not really very helpful, and my understanding is that most volunteers when doing merging and cleanup are deleting such references. So I followed that practice and deleted references to your personal GEDCOMs. If you want to add it back (which you can do so by clicking on the History button when looking at the page), please at least change the name of the source to something that would be more meaningful to other users of the system. For example, if you had SMITH.GED, you might change the source title to "Smith, Jillaine - Personal Research (uploaded 27 April 2007)" or whatever. The problem with that is that you have to change the source title every where it appears, manually. 2. I placed your comment about the death date in the "Notes" section related to that event. And I "depersonalized" it. You can use this TALK page for posting more "first-person" messages, such as, "I am now doubting if the information I've added is accurate. I need assistance in confirming his death date." Lastly, I'd be curious to know what information you DO have about Robert Millard and his children. We should definitely get it sorted out. He's a "direct-liner" for my husband. -- jillaine 13:06, 24 November 2008 (EST) |
