On Sources [10 April 2009]

As much as possible I'd like to keep away from using Ephemeral Sources in articles. That's the reason for removing the CelebrityTrees link. Even though Ancestry is likely to persist, the articles in CelebrityTrees themselves are largely undocumented, and so are not useful for genealogical work. (In other words, they are not a verifiable source of information, and so not useful as a citation.

Also, as much as possible I'd like to cite underlying materials rather than the repository something was contained in. Accessing data from NEGHS database is good, but citing them as the source is not. Their web site is essentially an electronic library, and the citation should be to the underlying document consulted. Hence I changed the MySource citation to NEGHS to Source:Arnold, 1891 Q 09:43, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

Mother of Richard 4 [23 January 2010]

Hi Elaine

Can you give us an original or good secondary source for the information that Richard's mother was Eleanor Taylor?--Q 11:13, 23 January 2010 (EST)
