Person talk:Peter Jackson (15)

question on date of death for Peter [10 July 2016]

Norman, You have that Peter died bef 1828 in Addison. I found a record in that Connecticut Church records book of a Peter Jackson who died in Bloomfield, Hartford, Connecticut on 2 May 1836. Could this be your Peter or another Peter Jackson? There is nothing in this death record to indicate any relationship of the Peter who died in Bloomfield. --janiejac 14:03, 9 July 2016 (UTC)

Hi Janie. The death information on Peter Jackson born August 1771 at Redding, Fairfield, Conn was found on Ancestry - Peter Jackson-Facts on 17 May 2016. It consisted of the names of 4 brothers and deaths of his parents. It also gives Peter's DOD as BEF 1829 . Vermont, USA. Ancestry's source was Ancestry Family Trees.

Four days earlier,on May 13,2016, I had downloaded Ancestry Peter Jackson-Facts born August 1771 Redding, Fairfield, Conn that had an extended list of births of his 9 Children.

Also the death of his brother Aaron Jackson b. 1767 d. 16 Nov 1832. Notes Death of Brother Peter's brother Aaron died on November 16, 1832 when Peter was 61 years old.

Peter may be the Peter in Bloomfield, Conn he would have been only 65 years old. Where is he buried? He should be with his wife in Addison, Vt. Find a Grave? Norman--Normiejac 01:28, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

Norman, I found a newspaper notice for the death of Aaron who lived in Connecticut b in 1767, died in Bridgeport, Connecticut in Dec 1823, age 55 years. That appears correct and I will source his page. Apparently the Aaron L. Jackson on Find-a-Grave probably is NOT the correct Aaron though the owner of that site thought so. Also we do not consider Ancestry Family Trees as a reliable source. Too many of those trees are just not well researched. The Connecticut Church Record says that Aaron died 16 Dec 1823 in Bridgeport. Since these records agree, I believe this is the correct Aaron. Will double check Peter later.
In the article did it mention a spouse for Aaron? Namely Anna Treadwell Jackson or daughter Polly Ann Jackson the wife of Peter Bunn as in the History of the Bunn Family pg 58,59&60? Aaron got a lot of repeat play in Bunn History.
