[add comment] [edit] Charity Ann Davis [10 June 2016]Is it possible that Charity Ann Davis that married Joel Worth Vandal is also a daughter of Peter Davis and Susannah Meadows?--Jacie9 11:29, 10 June 2016 (UTC) [add comment] [edit] Will of Peter Davis 1841 Greenbrier VA (WV) [31 August 2019]No children are mentioned by name in Peter Davis' will, however he mentions that he wishes to leave his possessions to his wife, and upon her death to his children. He does, however, mention FEHYANN DAVIS specifically, and wishes to leave her a horse, saddle, bed and cow. Who could this be? I have a note in a folder which reads: Fayette Co., VA (now WV) Wills 1830-1884: Peter Davis will probated June 1841: wife & children (unnamed) as per FRCGS / Fayette & Raleigh Counties Genealogical Society "News Notes" Fall 2003. "West Virginia Will Books, 1756-1971." Database with images. FamilySearch. FamilySearch.org : 22 March 2019. Citing Jackson County Clerk, West Virginia. This will lists "Fehyann Davis" - to whom he leaves a horse, saddle, bed and cow. It also states that the remainder goes to his wife and upon her death to his children. It is witnessed by William Meadows, Richard F. Tyree, and William Davis.--Sdixon 15:09, 31 August 2019 (UTC) |
