Person:John Edmiston (6) is the same person as another card Person:John Edmiston (2) created by User:Dlbradley1.

[UPDATE Note: after researching both of them, they are clearly two DIFFERENT John Edmiston/Edmondson's, one stayed in Washington County, VA and died prior to a deed in 1818 and the other moved to Davidson County, TN and died in 1839.] The records on each of their person pages clearly prove they are different people. Both apparently married women named Mary Buchanan, thence causing much of the confusion. This was also verified in research by Howard V. Jones, as noted.

Different John Edmondson [19 March 2009]

According to my records, this John Edmondson did NOT have a son named Andrew, and the other children's names listed also do not seem to match. Also Andrew's birth date was BEFORE John Edmondson and Mary Buchanah's marriage date by a few years... I wouldn't merge them if I were you, they seem to be a different family. I doubt if Andrew's parents were John Edmondson and Mary Buchanan. Anyway, just my take.--Delijim 17:01, 17 February 2009 (EST)
