Deletion of sources? [23 March 2013]

I can see deleting gedcoms as sources when there's insufficient info about the source of the gedcom but why delete references to specific ancestral files and world connect databases if those are indeed the sources of said info especially in absence of a more concrete source? I typically leave such sources alone unless I have something better to replace them with. Jillaine 09:43, 22 August 2012 (EDT)

I had sources ready to add to replace the 'sources' that were there before, but I got sidetracked. I will finish Allen/Alling up later tonight, its enough to finish the entire line. I wont usually 'blank' false sources unless I have something ready for it; the only exception is if its a complete mess. --Daniel Maxwell 09:50, 22 August 2012 (EDT)

Im about 8 months late, but I finally found the source for the will record and have started to clean up this family.
I can totally relate. :-). Curious about your choice to place text of will in footnote rather than in body of narrative. I typically follow the practice of quoting (in the footnote) only that portion of the text that supports the fact being cited. I believe that is standard footnoting practice and what you would typically find in published genealogies. But I would include the full text of the will in the narrative section of the profile page.
