How could Elizabeth Silvester's parents be DUNCKLEY & DUNCKLEY ? Any proof ?
Any proof that Robert Lovell's wife's MAIDEN name was LOVELL ? Not just her married name ?
- Neither Torrey (I'm working off the unpaginated CD ROM which is the same as the version currently up on americanancestors.org) nor Anderson (Great Migration, IV:353) gives the wife of Robert Lovell a surname. For all I know, there may have been an Elizabeth Silvester (but probably not born 1600) who married a John Lovell born 1564.
- This gets complicated by the marriage (Scituate vital records, II:198) "LOWWELL, John and Elizabeth Silvester, Jan. 24, 1658. [Louell of Boston, and Elizabeth Silvester, d. Richard, P.C.R. (Plymouth Colony Record)].
- To me, the cleanest solution is to cut this one loose, just in case John and Elizabeth lived in the mid 1500s, and create a new person page for Elizabeth Unknown indicating only that her surname is unknown and she was born, according to Hotten, about 1600.--jaques1724 16:04, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
