Is there a source for the fact that her name is actually Elizabeth instead of Bessie Wallis? Wikipedia says she was named for her aunt Bessie who went by Wallis, which would suggest that her name was not actually the long form Elizabeth. Her birth certificate does not exist, so in absence of that is there something else?--Amelia 12:12, 1 November 2009 (EST)

I skimmed the WP article and come to the same conclusion. There isn't any evidence that her original given name was anything more formal than "Bessie". A rename of the page seems in order.--Jrm03063 21:22, 1 November 2009 (EST)
