True, and to be honest I agree, his marriage says he was from Marum, so I have my doubts as well

Now, I did find a baptism for Beerent, Aktedatum: 06-02-1771, in Groningen, son of Hendrik Jans Rieneman and Sibina Barkhuis ([1] that looks like it might be this Berent -- what do you think?
