Zoheth Smith [#13], s/o Samuel Smith [#8, p. 193: and Abigail Freeman], b. Eastham 11 Dec 1716, m. 23 Feb 1737 Hannah Sears. Will of his father, Samuel Smith, dated 18 Apr 1768, mentions "heirs of son Zoheth, deceased, viz.:" Zoheth, Richard, Elizabeth, Samuel and Ruth". [Note: this source does not mention his marriage to Ruth Mayo. This article also shows a daughter Elizabeth b. 6 Feb 1745-6 (compare to recorded date of 6 Feb 1755), and Hannah b. 9 Mar 1746-7 (compare to mother's death date of 15 May 1746), and Joshua Mayo Smith (shown by the will of Samuel to be a grandson, not a son), while missing Ruth numerous other shortcomings. These errors seem to have found their way into Source:May, Samuel Pearce. Descendants of Richard Sares (Sears) of Yarmouth, Mass., 1638-1888 and other secondary sources.]

Zoeth Smith, s/o Samuel, b. 11 Dec 1716, d. [blank], m. (1) 23 Feb 1737 Hannah Bearse [sic], m. (2) 10 Dec 1746 Ruth May. Children: Zoeth, Richard, Hannah, Elizabeth, Joshua Mayo Smith, Ruth Mayo Smith. [This source cites the above NEHGR article, and improves some things and yet manages to add some errors of its own. It adds the second marriage and corrects the birthdates of Hannah and Elizabeth, adds the daughter Ruth. However, it misidentifies the first wife, giving a different answer than the article it cited (the marriage record says "Seers", and given her age at death, 29 after 9 years of marriage, she probably was not a widow when she married). This source, like the source above, is missing several children who only seem to be have had their deaths recorded.]
