BIOGRAPHY: A Genealogy of the Potter Family originating in Rhode Island By Rev. Jeremiah Potter Phenix, R. I.: John H. Campbell, Book and Job Printer 1881 - Page 37 Zilpha Knight, daughter of Angell and Olive Knight, married Harvey Downing, about 1825. Mr. Downing was a physician. He lived in various places, but died in York State in December, 1866. She died about the second of December, 1866, aged 67. They had nine children, Alonzo G. L. Downing, born March 20th, 1826; died December 31st, 1832. I have no knowledge of the names, birth or deaths of the other children. Information from Richmond M. Knight and wife, 1877.
