BIOGRAPHY: A Genealogy of the Potter Family originating in Rhode Island By Rev. Jeremiah Potter Phenix, R. I.: John H. Campbell, Book and Job Printer 1881 - Page 37 Olive Potter, daughter of William and Hannah Potter, married Angell Knight, about 1797 or 9, probably son of Joseph and Elizabeth Knight, of Scituate. Mr. Knight had his residence about half a mile above the Richmond factory, Scituate, on the Pike road, where he manufactured bobbins and had a saw and grist mill in connection. He ground salt for dairy purposes nearly or quite every season, for people of the town. It was a very respectable and worthy family.
